Alfa Laval Nordic is looking for a Business Development Manager in either Denmark, Norway, Sweden or Finland.
Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers, and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water, and shipping.
As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.
Who you are
As a Business Development & Shipowner Sales Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business
opportunities in the marine market and developing innovative ideas and concepts for future offerings. Your mission is to
drive business growth by proactively shaping our market presence and expanding our portfolio in line with company
strategy.
You will promote the full Alfa Laval product portfolio to Nordic Shipowners & Investors to secure market share for both
local and global new build projects.
About the Job
In this dynamic role, you will be at the forefront of promoting Alfa Laval’s sustainability product portfolio to ship owners
and ship managers. You will provide compelling business cases, actively seek out pilot projects, and engage early
adopters to accelerate the uptake of innovative, sustainable technologies within the marine industry.
A key aspect of your responsibilities will also involve working within the new build vessel sector. Here, you will champion
the full range of Alfa Laval products to vessel owners, investors & influencers, ensuring our solutions are specified on
makers lists for new projects.
You will act as a vital link between ship owners, investors, Alfa Laval Sales Companies in shipyard countries, and our
Central organisation. Your efforts will focus on securing market share, delivering tailored owner benefits packages, and
driving the adoption of Alfa Laval’s advanced technologies across the global marine market.
Key tasks:
• Market & Competitor Analysis: Analyse the marine market landscape and competitors to create a
comprehensive market map. Segment and target customers to identify high-potential opportunities.
• Business Development Planning: Develop and implement a business development plan aligned with the
company’s sales strategy and targets, ensuring sustainable growth.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Organise and conduct seminars and training sessions for key stakeholders,
positioning the company as a thought leader and trusted partner.
• Market Needs Creation: Stay close to the market to identify emerging needs and trends, proactively creating
demand for our solutions.
• Cross-Division Coordination: Collaborate with and support internal divisions to analyse, prioritise, and capitalise
on business opportunities, ensuring coordinated efforts for maximum impact.
