About the job
• Participate in FAT tests prior to commissioning on site.
• Is responsible for checking that the systems and plants at customer site is ready for start-up incl. I/O tests and mechanical inspection.
• Start-up and commissioning according to specified procedures incl. test of functionality and completion of SAT tests.
• Reporting of results incl. feed back to the project team.
• Training of customers operators and handing over of the installation.
• Help the project managers to ensure that plants and systems delivered to the customers are according to the specifications when shipped from AL.
• Participate in project reviews to secure that experience from previous commissioning jobs are brought back to new projects and new standard concepts.
• Execute performance reviews of installations already handed over to customers.
• Coach and mentor less experienced commissioning engineers. Check the quality of their work and help them resolve problems and issues.
What you know
Knowledge & Skills:
1. Marine Engineering background with good hands-on electrical and mechanical technical skills. (Degree in Electrical Marine Engineering and/or with a sailing experience as Electrical Officer also acceptable.)
2. It is preferred if you have worked for minimum 3 years as a Marine Engineer;
3. Fluent in both oral and written English is preferred.
4. Experience in coordination and planning of a mobile work force.

8. Able to display high levels of trust, reliability and most importantly, confidentiality.
9. Target oriented, ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
