About the job
As an integral member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the business management of Alfa Laval US by implementing and enforcing selected Group Policies, Directives, and Procedures, while ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and other legal operating requirements within the U.S. You will have the opportunity to participate in internal reviews, develop and draft new policies, procedures, and internal controls; monitor regulatory and legal developments impacting US companies, divisions and business units, contributing to the overall success and growth of our organization. Currently this is a hybrid position located in Richmond, VA, Houston, TX, or Indianapolis, IN.
As a part of the team, you will:
Implement existing AL Group Policies and develop and draft new controls and procedures, as appropriate.
Identify, monitor and understand legal regulatory requirements and frameworks affecting business operations, including but not limited to the following subject matter areas:
Trade Compliance
Anti-Bribery/Anti-Corruption
Fair Competition
Data Privacy and Security
Evaluate effectiveness of internal compliance controls and identify and address deficiencies in processes.
Assist with drafting and filing of required reports and compliance certifications and communicate with regulators.
Support local management in the review of internal audit results and in case of regulatory investigations and related compliance questions.
Train management and employees on internal compliance policies and requirements.
What you know:
A bachelor’s degree is preferred and/or Certification/Registration and:
5-7 years of experience in compliance or related field.
Ability to multi-task
Strong communication skills
Good organization and time management skills
Knowledge and understanding of compliance best practices
Experience working within compliance in a global organization is preferred
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Strong leadership and communication skills
