About the job

As a Credit and Collection Specialist, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive credit and collection activities for Alfa Laval Nordic, primarily focusing on Norway. You will strengthen financial risk management and support business performance through data-driven insights and close partnerships.

This is a Full-time position which will be located in Sandvika, Norway.

Responsibilities

With your collaborative approach and analytical mindset, you will:

  • Manage new customer creation, credit limits, and export control reviews with accuracy and care.
  • Evaluate customer exposure and payment behavior to proactively address financial risks.
  • Support and advise sales teams by releasing credit holds and recommending payment terms, based on your analysis.
  • Apply for and manage customer guarantees while ensuring transparent communication.
  • Maintain customer master data and oversee corrective payment processes with attention to detail.
  • Analyze customer portfolios to enhance credit and collection strategies and support business growth.
  • Actively work with process improvements and changes needed to align collection process with counterparts and upcoming system changes
  • You will work in a dynamic, inclusive, and international environment with close cooperation between finance, sales, and customer service teams.

What we’re looking for

You are analytical, solution-focused, and passionate about building strong connections between finance and business success. You are proactive, a great communicator, and committed to working in a team-based environment.

You bring these qualifications with you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in credit management, accounts receivable, or financial analysis.
  • Experience from ERP and CRM systems, and strong skills in Excel and tools like Power BI.
  • Experience working with international customers in an industrial setting.
  • You are fluent in English and in at least one other Nordic language, such as Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, or Swedish.
  • You are fluent in English and in at least one other Nordic language, preferably Norwegian (Swedish or Danish is possible). Finnish is a bonus.
