About the Role
Join us as a Data Migration Factory Lead and play a pivotal role in our D365 F&O rollouts. You’ll lead, operate, and continuously improve our Data Migration Factory, working with modern tools like Microsoft Fabric, Alteryx, and the Power Platform.
You will work closely with rollout teams, migration specialists and platform developers and will have a chance to combine technical leadership, hands-on involvement, and operational ownership – driving both successful migrations and the evolution of the factory platform.
If you are comfortable discussing architecture and troubleshooting technical issues, but equally comfortable coordinating stakeholders, managing priorities and ensuring teams have what they need to succeed – we want to hear from you!
Your Key Responsibilities:
Design and manage Data Migration Factory Application processes and capabilities
Contribute to governance along with the platform team
Develop, build and optimize ETL workflows using Alteryx for data extraction, transformation, validation, and migration
Design, build, and maintain Microsoft Fabric Data Pipelines and data ingestion solutions
Execute D365 F&O data migration activities, including master and transactional data migration
Develop data transformation logic using SQL, PySpark, Fabric Notebooks, and Dataflows Gen2
Build and support Lakehouse and Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) implementations
Perform data profiling, cleansing, standardization, validation, reconciliation, and quality checks
Implement monitoring, logging, error handling, and performance optimization for data pipelines
Collaborate with business and technical teams on data mapping, business rules, and migration requirements
Support migration testing, cutover activities, post-load validation, and production deployment
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and deployment runbooks
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience leading or coordinating ERP data migration projects.
Strong understanding of data migration processes (scoping, mapping, transformation, validation, cutover).
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Alteryx, and Power Platform applications.
Ability to troubleshoot migration issues and contribute directly to technical solutions.
Experience working with both business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
Strong planning, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
Practical experience with several of the following:
Microsoft Fabric Data Pipelines & Lakehouse concepts
Alteryx workflow development
Power Platform applications
Reporting/dashboard design
Azure DevOps
Data validation & reconciliation
D365 F&O data migration
Nice to Have
Experience with D365 F&O Data Management Framework (DMF)
Power BI, semantic models, or dashboard data preparation
Git, Azure DevOps, or version control tools
ERP data migration or legacy system modernization projects
API-based data integration and REST API patterns
Performance tuning for SQL, PySpark, and data pipelines
Data governance, security, privacy, and access control concepts
