About the job
As a Development Engineer in Alfa Laval’s pump group, you will contribute to the development, enhancement and maintenance of our centrifugal pump portfolio. The role focuses primarily on strengthening and improving existing products, ensuring that they continue to meet customer needs, support reliable delivery and remain competitive in the market.
You will work across the full product lifecycle, from identifying improvement opportunities and conducting hands-on testing to supporting product launches and solving technical challenges. As part of a global, cross-functional R&D organization, you will collaborate with colleagues across engineering, operations, technical support and other business functions.

You are a self-driven and results-oriented engineer who takes ownership of your work and approaches challenges with both focus and analytical curiosity. You are comfortable working independently, while actively involving colleagues and sharing knowledge when solving complex problems. A cooperative and communicative working style comes naturally to you, and you are energized by an agile environment with varied tasks, practical problem-solving and collaboration across functions, business units and locations. You enjoy combining technical analysis with hands-on engineering work and are motivated by contributing to solutions that create value for both customers and the business.
What you know
To succeed in this role, you bring a strong mechanical engineering foundation, relevant experience from product development and a practical interest in design, testing and continuous improvement.
