About the job

As part of our ambition to become Net Zero by 2030, we are accelerating the development of renewable energy generation and conversion technologies. Fuel processing and reforming are key focus areas, and we are moving quickly to meet the growing demand in these emerging markets. We are now offering an exciting opportunity within the Portfolio Unit Electrolyzer and Fuel Cell for a Development Engineer passionate about working with sustainable energy technologies.

In this role you will help with prototyping and testing new technologies for hydrogen. Working closely with material and thermal specialists, prototype workshops, material laboratories, process development teams, manufacturing units, and external partners, you will play a central role in developing


Key responsibilities for this role entail:

· Participate in establishing the Hydrogen lab equipped with a wet chemistry facility and several state-of-the-art surface analysis and catalytic activity testing equipment.

· Participate is the day-to-day practical management of the lab like inventory management and ordering, experiment planning, coordination with other complementary labs

· Planning and execution of tests

· Process development for prototyping and testing of prototypes.


You will be based in Lund and report to the Head of R&D. This position will be entitled to some travels. This is maternity cover position until March 2028.


Who you are

As a person, you are creative with analytical skills and interested in new technology. You are a curious, hands-on and adaptable professional who enjoys working in a chemistry laboratory and contributing from the initial development phase through to daily operation. You are motivated by developing new processes rather than simply following established methods, and you are comfortable working with uncertainty and evaluating different outcomes. You have a structured and analytical approach, enabling you to process new data and draw well-founded conclusions. You also enjoy collaborating with colleagues and contributing to a safe, innovative working environment.


What you know

You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or a related field—or you are a trained laboratory technician with experience working in a chemistry laboratory. You have practical experience from a wet chemistry laboratory, gained through your education or previous employment. You understand and apply laboratory safety procedures when planning and conducting experiments, and you can design clear and reliable test protocols
