We’re looking for
Alfa Laval Golbey is specialized in design and manufacturing of Brazed Aluminum Heat Exchangers, but also offers services for the maintenance of the equipment. As part of this activity, analysis of data of the equipment operating on customers' site is key to provide advices and help customers to follow best pratices.
Recently, the environment used for the development of the tool has been abandoned and alternative solutions have been investigated. A Proof of Concept step has already been conducted and the objectives of this internship is to contribute to the development of the new solution :
- create a generic template (with Jupyter Notebook) that would guide the user through the different steps for a data analysis (data loading, data cleaning and formatting, plotting, data processing, ...)
- write the documentation and establish the guidelines to follow,
- develop generic Python functions / objects that support the analysis,
- suggest solutions for the management of the tool (versioning control, virtual environment, deployment strategy..).
Validation of the developments will be done against real data. Development should be kept as simple as possible (but also as flexible as possible) for the end-users with limited development capabilities. The intern will have to find a balance between the genericity and ease-of-use, and contribute to the the development of a custom tool box.
Skills needed: Python programming, Jupyter notebook, data analysis, writing skills, autonomy and curiosity
