Alfa Laval Nijmegen B.V. is a market leader in gas treatment systems and services. We develop, sell, and produce equipment for the maritime industry, to support customers in meeting current and future needs in emission reduction and safety.
As Financial Administrative Support, you play a key role in our finance team by managing the accounts receivable process for both After Sales. You work closely with colleagues in Nijmegen and with our counterparts at Alfa Laval in Aalborg (DK), as well as with customers and Alfa Laval Sales Companies. This is a temporary position for one year.
Your daily tasks are:
Managing accounts receivable activities for both After Sales and Capital Sales;
Performing dunning activities;
Producing and sharing accounts receivable reports;
Contacting customers and Alfa Laval Sales Companies regarding overdue payments;
Sharing accounts receivable statements with customers and Alfa Laval Sales Companies;
Collaborating with counterparts in the finance processes, mainly Alfa Laval in Nijmegen and Aalborg (DK);
Handling the After Sales order backlog;
Performing customer administration activities;
Carrying out associated accounting activities, such as determining the Bad Debt provision.
You are accurate, well-organized and communicative. You enjoy working with figures and don’t shy away from picking up the phone to follow up on overdue payments. You keep a clear overview, even when handling multiple tasks, and you like collaborating with colleagues and customers across borders.
Further, you have:
A completed MBO/HBO degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field;
Preferably some experience in accounts receivable, credit control or financial administration;
A good knowledge of written and spoken English; Dutch is an advantage;
A proactive, customer-oriented attitude and strong communication skills.
