About the job
The primary focus of this position will be to execute Food System Service & Commissioning within the Agro & Protein, Oils & Fats, and Brewery industries. When not engaged in traveling activities, project or system service-related tasks will be conducted from our office in Soborg, in close collaboration with the engineering teams.
Participate in FAT tests prior to commissioning on site.
Is responsible for checking that the systems and plants at customer site is ready for start-up incl. I/O tests and mechanical inspection.
Start-up and commissioning according to specified procedures incl. test of functionality and completion of SAT tests.
Reporting of results incl. feed back to the project team.
Training of customers operators and handing over of the installation.
Help the project managers to ensure that plants and systems delivered to the customers are according to the specifications when shipped from AL.
Participate in project reviews to secure that experience from previous commissioning jobs are brought back to new projects and new standard concepts.
Execute performance reviews of installations already handed over to customers.
Coach and mentor less experienced commissioning engineers and act as role model. Check the quality of their work and help them resolve problems and issues.
Run pilot tests to collect data for system design.
Support system service offerings as audits, trouble shooting, upgrades and service agreements.
Provide online assistance connecting to customer’s controls system remotely.
You will assume a leadership role in executing commissioning at customer sites. Therefore, possessing strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish networks across different cultures is essential.
What you know
To excel in this position, a strong foundation in process knowledge is essential. A relevant education, such as a degree in electrical, mechanical or chemical engineering, is preferred. Previous experience in a comparable role involving system service and commissioning is required. Fluency in spoken and written English is necessary, and proficiency in PLC programming is considered advantageous.
This role requires travel activity of approximately 100 – 120 days.
