Alfa Laval’s Oils and Fats Systems delivers high-performance processing plants for refining and modifying fats and oils—serving both the food and biofuel industries. We’re now looking for a commercially driven and hands-on professional to help grow our global service business and bring even greater value to our customers.
Oils and Fats Systems provides high-performance processing plants for refining and modifying fats and oils for the food industry as well as for the biofuel industry. We are looking for a person to join and support our continued journey to drive and grow the Service Business for our Oils and Fats market.
The job will be focused on increasing service sales and developing the service portfolio, ranging from spare parts through service audits to performance agreements and upgrades for Oils and Fats processing plants. This will be done in collaboration with central Business Unit Food Systems colleagues as well as our Sales Companies around the globe. A big part of the work will require direct involvement in plant visits and audits, interfacing and dealing globally directly with plant and operational managers and customers' technical leads. This is a unique opportunity to lead service development for a specialized market, working across global teams and directly with customers to optimize plant performance and drive long-term partnerships.
Travel: Approx. 40–60 days/year
Your Mission
As Global Service Development Manager, you will:
Own and drive the global service business for Oils & Fats Systems.
Identify opportunities for service value through plant audits and operational analysis.
Scope and sell upgrades, performance agreements, and service packages.
Develop tools and materials to support sales and marketing efforts.
Collaborate globally with Sales Companies and Capital Sales teams.
Align service needs with project execution teams post-customer handover.
Think creatively to build strategies to grow our business and build customer satisfaction.
You’ll be deeply involved in customer interactions, including site visits and audits, working closely with plant managers and technical leads to deliver tailored service solutions.
What You Know
We’re looking for someone with:
5+ years of experience in service, operations, or technical roles within the oils and fats industry—or a related processing field (e.g., food, biofuels, chemicals), a commercially driven and hands-on professional with a strong service or operational background
A degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering, or equivalent technical education.
Strong knowledge of plant processes, equipment, and automation.
Experience with audits, upgrades, and performance improvement projects.
A background in field service, technical support, or process optimization is strongly valued.
Comfort working in a global matrix organization and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
