About The Job

The Agro & Protein Systems Sales Unit provides solutions for the extraction of high-value proteins, starch, and other nutrients from various raw materials, including animal- and plant-based feed stocks as well as microbials for fermentation-derived ingredients.

As the Head of the Sales Unit, you will own the Sales Unit´s profit and loss result, as well as develop and implement the sales strategy to drive profitable growth in both capital- and service sales with your team. The position will also be responsible for development of the offering portfolio of modules, process lines and after-sales services.  You will lead three functions: Global Sales, Global Technology and Global Service Sales of which two will have department managers. You will be expected to be the operational leader of either the Sales or Technology department yourself.

In the protein area, the process development will be particularly important through customer testing and application development in our test centres. As Head of the Sales Unit, collaboration with the project executing Engineering and Supply team is vital to sustainable success. Key responsibilities will be:

  • Lead profitable global sales growth with your own team and in conjunction with the Food Systems regional Hubs and the local sales companies.

  • Develop the offering portfolio for both capital and after-sales

  • Build and nurture key customer relationships

  • Drive implementation of solid sales procedures within the department and with key stakeholders

  • Coach your team to meet and exceed sales targets

  • Follow and act on the latest industrial developments in the starch and protein industry

This position is based at our Søborg office in Copenhagen, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 40-60 days per year.

What You Know

  • A master’s degree or equivalent experience

  • You have minimum 10 years’ commercial experience preferably within project sales

  • Relevant experience with driving and developing business in the protein industry as well as experience with leading people in sales organizations

  • You are business minded and thrive working with change

  • You are empowering, supportive, and inclusive in your style of work

  • Fluent in English

You are an experienced leader with strong drive, goal oriented and passionate about delivering an outstanding customer experience. You enjoy finding opportunities providing solutions in a complex project environment that add value to customers. You have experience from an international business and negotiations. As a leader, you are a strong communicator, you are visible in the organization, and you engage and empower your employees through clarity and inspiring feedback.
