About the job
Alfa Laval is seeking an Information Architect to join our Enterprise Architecture team and be a part of the Digital Transformation Office. This is a unique opportunity to directly influence and shape the future of Alfa Laval’s information strategy, data management and governance. You will lead, define and manage the organization's information architecture, ensuring that data and information assets are structured, governed, and utilized effectively to support strategic business goals and enterprise architecture initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Information Strategy & Governance
Develop, maintain, and own the enterprise information strategy
Define data governance policies and standards to ensure high-quality, trusted data
Ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements across global operations
Data Modeling & Architecture
Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models supporting digital initiatives
Define data flows and integration patterns across diverse systems and platforms
Maintain a repository of enterprise data definitions and relationships
Collaboration & Alignment
Align data architecture with business capabilities and value streams in partnership with business and data architects
Collaborate with solution architects to ensure data architecture supports application needs
Partner with technology architects to ensure infrastructure supports evolving data requirements
Innovation & Optimization
Identify opportunities for data reuse, advanced analytics, and AI enablement
Support digital transformation initiatives through actionable, data-driven insights
Promote data literacy and stewardship across the organization
Tools & Frameworks
Utilize enterprise architecture frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK to structure information architecture
Leverage data cataloging, lineage, and quality tools to enhance data management
What You Know:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Proven experience in information architecture, data governance, or enterprise data management
Strong understanding of data management, integration, and architecture principles
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a global mindset
Familiarity with Data Management frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK) and modern data management tools
Passion for innovation, optimization, and promoting a data-driven culture
