Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water, and shipping.

As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.

About the job

At Alfa Laval, we work to create better everyday conditions for our customers by delivering reliable, efficient and sustainable solutions. In this role, you will join the Ocean Division within the Nordic Sales Company, supporting customers across the marine industry with spare parts and related services.

As an Inside Sales Advisor – Marine Parts, you will play a key role in driving customer satisfaction and sales performance through fast, accurate and proactive support. This is a primarily office-based inside sales role, where you will act as a trusted point of contact for customers, working closely with internal sales and service teams.

The position is based in Denmark (Søborg or Aalborg), with occasional travel within the Nordics to meet colleagues and strengthen collaboration.

Key responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell Alfa Laval marine parts and services in line with established sales processes and guidelines.

  • Investigate customer needs and identify the correct parts or products for their applications.

  • Prepare, send and actively follow up on transactional quotations, ensuring accuracy and timely responses.

  • Identify upselling opportunities and collaborate with the service sales team to capture additional value.

  • Support customers throughout the quotation and ordering process, ensuring a smooth and professional experience.

  • Work proactively across teams to optimise sales efficiency, response times and customer outcomes.

  • Use CRM and other digital tools consistently to manage pipeline, follow-up, reporting and decision-making.

  • Ensure compliance with sanctions and export control requirements.

  • Drive continuous improvement in responsiveness, data quality and ways of working.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners and internal stakeholders.

Who are you

You are commercially minded, structured and customer-focused, with a proactive approach to your work. You take ownership of tasks, follow through on commitments and enjoy working in an international, fast-paced environment. You are comfortable collaborating across functions, using data to guide decisions, and continuously looking for ways to improve efficiency and customer experience. Accuracy, reliability and clear communication come naturally to you.

What you know

You bring experience from inside sales or similar customer-facing commercial roles and are comfortable working with digital tools and data. While experience from the marine or industrial sector is an advantage, your ability and motivation to learn technical products is just as important.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in sales or a similar commercial role, preferably in an inside sales environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Danish and English.

  • High level of digital competence, including Microsoft Office and CRM or sales systems.

  • Strong interest in data, trends, analysis and digitalisation.

  • Experience or knowledge of the commercial marine or merchant marine industry is an advantage.

  • Technical understanding of marine or industrial equipment is an advantage; training will be provided if needed.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
