Scanjet Group is looking for a skilled and driven Technical Specialist to strengthen our Tank Level Gauging Business Area.
About the Team
The Business Area for Tank Level Gauging is working with system solutions for measuring tank levels, temperatures, pressures and other data onboard ships or in industrial tanks. The systems may also allow control of pumps and valves during cargo operations. The team working with Tank Level Gauging is distributed over Asia and Europe, but the role is located at our headquarter in Gothenburg, Sweden.
About the job
As a Technical Specialist, you will play a crucial role in bridging knowledge between our global aftersales organization and product line.
The job scope is varied and includes providing technical support within Scanjet to support our Service Engineers, commissioning teams and customer support personnel.
You will also perform service at customer sites or remote. The job requires travel both within Europe and globally for advanced troubleshooting, support during new product rollouts and routine visits.
As Technical Specialist you will also work with producing and improving documentation and training material related to field service and customer support for the product line.
Required qualifications
To be successful in this role we see that you have:
Relevant education within Automation Technology, Process Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Maritime Engineering or similar engineering background.
A few years of work experience within your engineering field.
The ability to travel and work alone at customer sites.
Good knowledge in English, both verbal and written.
As a person, you demonstrate strong collaboration and communication skills and build trusting relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You can understand needs, offer constructive advice and feedback and guide others toward forward-moving actions. You are customer-focused, deliver high-level expertise and consistently keep promises. You enjoy sharing knowledge and contribute to learning and development across the organization.
You remain calm and solution-oriented under pressure and have the resilience to see assignments through, even when unexpected challenges arise. In all situations, you act as a loyal, responsible, and professional representative of Scanjet.
It is not necessary but a plus if you also have:
Previous experience in field service.
Previous experience of remote customer support.
Previous experience of planning and giving training.
Previous experience from marine industry.
