The Master thesis project
Contherm® is a single-wall scraped-surface heat exchanger (SSHE) designed for continuous and semi-continuous processing of an extremely broad range of viscosities. Its unique design offers impressive flexibility in heating and cooling operations for numerous products, with or without particles.
The objective of the master thesis project is to create a cradle to grave life cycle assessment for the Contherm – Single wall. This will include quantifying the energy and material used and emissions released at each stage of the products life cycle. From the result it will be possible to analyze and give guidance on possible design improvements, material selection or process changes to reduce the footprint of the product.
