About the job

In our assembly factory in Lund, we produce and deliver heat exchangers around the world. As a member of our purchasing team, you will be part of our supply chain and ensure that we deliver products according to our customers' expectations and requirements. Our products are sold through all our divisions, Energy, Food & Water and Marine. You will play an important role in ensuring competitiveness and time to market our products. This is a fixed term position for 12 months.

As an operational buyer your key responsibilities will be:

  • Initiating purchase orders (POs) in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, confirm delivery with suppliers, monitor, and tracking goods to verify appropriate delivery and proper invoicing

  • Communicate with customer service (internal team members) to ensure the purchasing process is efficient and accurate

  • Work alongside the order handling team to ensure the requirements are aligned with the customer’s desired delivery date

  • Handle deviations within placed purchase orders related to on time delivery and follow up on delayed orders

  • Responsible for basic data in ERP on items and supplier information

  • Communicate forecasts to the suppliers, ensuring there is a capacity in the supply chain to meet demand

  • Coordinate and manage claim management process for Source

  • Log and follow up on claims, both internal and external and work closely with suppliers to develop Improvement projects and/or activities

  • Create claim and quality reports

  • Improve processes within your area of responsibility, applying Lean 6Sigma methodology and continuous improvement tools

Who you are:

We are looking for you who are energetic, driven and like to make things happen. You are a true networker and have strong consumer focus. We believe you have a positive attitude and are a team player. You are pragmatic and can easily adapt to changes

What you know:

  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree within Supply Chain Management or equal. Preferably you have up to 5 years of experience in similar role and are fluent in English both written and spoken. Good knowledge in Swedish is preferred.  You need to have solid Microsoft Dynamics or other ERP experience.

  • Excellent analytical, numerical and communication skills
