About the job…

This position is responsible to be involved in the Project Order flow and manage tasks in the projects of Gasketed Plate Heat Exchangers (GPHE) of medium & high complexity.

Carry out and ensure high quality and cost-effective customer documentation. To work with customer adaptions and to execute/plan on-going projects throughout manufacturing/assembly.

This is an onsite position located in Richmond, VA.

Responsibilities include:

  • Receive and register orders in various systems. ERP, Project management system etc.

  • Produce and update documents for our on-going projects.

  • Interact with customer to secure exchange of documentation including customer portals.

  • Communicate progress to the team and stakeholders in internal/external project status meetings and by other means.

  • Develop documentation templates.

  • Participate in customer inspections when required.

  • Review Design to Order (DTO) and Engineer to Order (ETO) and register them in ERP system.

  • Be part of project management team.

  • Secure high quality of project execution by delivering according to confirmed activities: on time, on specification and on budget.

  • Be engaged in safety and quality work and immediately call. TM/UM when problems or risks occur.

  • Be active at Digital Status Board meetings.

  • Be active in problem solving and other improvement activities.

  • Suggest improvements on Instructions / SOPs.

  • Always consider opportunities of eliminating waste.

  • Take responsibility for your own development and for staying informed.

  • Customer Quotes.

What you know:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering degree desirable.

  • Willing to working with many projects and activities at the same time (multitasking).

  • Communicational skills and experience of participating in technical projects.

  • Is an experienced user of Microsoft D365 and has high knowledge of Word templates and complex structures in Excel.

  • Experience from working in ERP-system.

  • Work with continuous improvements according to ALPS, Lean six sigma.

What’s in it for you?

At Alfa Laval, we carefully consider a wide range of factors to determine your total compensation package. We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job, background, skills, and experience to get it right.  The base salary for this role is typically $65,000 to $75,000 USD.
