About the job

Are you passionate about 3D modeling and digital transformation in operations?

Alfa Laval is seeking a motivated student in mechanical engineering or a related field to support us in this journey.

In this role, you will collaborate with production engineers and operations development teams to create a visual 3D representation of our factory using CAD and PDM tools.

Your tasks will include:

  • Gathering and structuring data
  • Creating and simplifying 3D representations
  • Managing large assemblies
  • Improving and maintaining data quality in PDM
  • Aligning with key stakeholders in production and operations development

This is an on-site, part-time position for 6 months with a possibility of extension. There is even the possibility to write the Master Thesis at Alfa Laval at the same time.

Who You Are

You are a curious and engaged engineering student who enjoys problem-solving and thrives in a technical environment. You like working with others, but you're also comfortable taking responsibility and driving tasks independently. You communicate clearly and are eager to learn from experienced colleagues.

What You Know

To succeed in this role, you should:

  • Be a student in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Have experience with CAD and PDM tools (Preferably Autodesk Inventor, Vault, and Navisworks)
  • Possess strong 3D visualization and analytical skills
  • Communicate effectively in both Swedish and English
  • Be able to work independently and propose practical solutions

What’s In It for You

You’ll get the chance to apply your CAD and PDM skills in a real industrial environment while learning directly from experienced engineers. As you help build a digital representation of our factory, you’ll gain hands-on experience, grow your technical abilities, and see how modern manufacturing works from the inside. This is a valuable opportunity to develop, contribute, and shape your future career.
