About the job
Alfa Laval Aalborg is currently seeking three Product Application Engineers due to reorganization and internal promotions. All application engineers will focus primarily on the Exhaust Gas Cleaning system portfolio. Depending on the candidate’s interest and background, flexibility in working with other products is possible.
As our new Product Application Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting the technical match of our product range. Based on customers’ expectations and requirements you will manage the overall support towards our sales organization locally and globally as well as to our local and global execution organization. Your main tasks include:
System design based on customer-specific requirements with a focus on finding the best solution for the customer and Alfa Laval.
Go-to specialist for questions related to our product portfolio in general.
Preparation of design calculations, technical specifications, and documentation for local sales offices so they can finalize quotations.
Assist in preparing technical handover material for signed orders towards the internal project execution organization.
Participate in customer meetings for technical clarifications.
Support the department in other technical matters.
Who are you
As a person, you are a team player. You remain calm and balanced when you face challenges. Your colleagues describe you as structured, positive, and passionate. Because of your strong learning ability, you are able to quickly understand a large amount of complex information and translate it into being easy to understand for people with little or no technical background.
What you know
We imagine you come with an educational background as a bachelor’s in marine engineering or similar, combined with a few years of professional experience from either merchant fleets, yards, or other suppliers from the marine industry. It is preferred you have an understanding of the engine room layout, exhaust gas system, and/or vessel operation. Furthermore, you bring a commercial understanding of maritime systems, and a strong ability to match our product portfolio with customer needs.
As part of a global organization, speaking and writing English is a prerequisite.
