About the job
We are seeking a skilled Product Application Engineer to join your team. As our new Product Application Engineer, you will be responsible for performing back-office technical calculations related to steam, LNG, flue gas, pump & water systems for our product portfolio within the BU Heat & Gas Systems. Your main tasks include:
System design of steam/Thermal fluid systems based on customer specific requirement with focus on optimizing total boiler system efficiency.
Maintenance and development of data and internal tools for the systems mentioned above.
Go-to specialist for Thermodynamic calculation on steam also with LNG, Methanol and ammonia as fuel.
Preparation of design calculations, technical specifications, and documentation for local sales offices so they can finalize quotations.
Assist in preparing technical handover material for signed orders internally towards execution organization.
Support the department in other technical matters.
Who are you
As a person, you are a team player. You remain calm and balanced when you face challenges. Your colleagues describe you as structured, positive, and passionate. Because of your strong learning ability, you are able to quickly understand a large amount of complex information and translate it into being easy to understand for people without a technical background. You have a deep understanding in steam/steam balances and steam related systems and enjoys offering technical solutions striving to gain the best possible energy efficiency. Additional you are eager share/teach your knowledge on future fuels such as methanol, ammonia and other fuels with your new colleagues.
What you know
We imagine you come with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Naval Architecture & Offshore Engineering, or another related field. Furthermore, you have a couple of years of professional experience, you bring a good system understanding and you have a substantial level of understanding of thermo-dynamics and WHR calculations. It is an advantage if you have experience in the maritime supply industry.
As part of a global organization, speaking and writing English is a prerequisite.
