About the job
We are looking for a Product & Application Expert HFH (Hygienic Fluid Handling) expert to join our team in Madrid. In this role, you will act as a key technical authority within complex customer projects, partnering closely with Sales Company teams across Sales and Service functions to deliver tailored, high-value solutions within Alfa Laval hygienic applications, with a focus on Mixing & Blending.

You will play a critical role in translating customer needs into robust technical solutions, ensuring strong application expertise and excellent customer engagement across multiple European markets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Act as technical lead in complex customer projects, supporting Sales Company teams in delivering optimized Alfa Laval HFH solutions
  • Conduct customer visits, meetings, and technical discussions to present product capabilities and build customized value propositions
  • Lead and support the technical aspects of complex quotation processes within customer projects
  • Serve as local Product & Application expert for Mixing & Blending within hygienic applications
  • Act as cluster trainer, designing and delivering structured training programs for internal teams, channel partners, and customers
  • Work closely with existing customer relationships and sales-generated opportunities to drive technical excellence and value creation
  • Contribute to strengthening Alfa Laval’s market position through deep application knowledge and proactive customer engagement
  • Travel frequently across France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Greece, with both regional and international travel as part of the role

At Alfa Laval, we embrace a hybrid work model, providing you the flexibility to work from home when it aligns with your tasks. This position will be based in Alcobendas, Madrid, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 70-80 days per year, domestically and 30 days per year internationally.

What You Know

  • Experience in product and application roles within hygienic industries such as dairy, food, beverages, or pharma
  • Good understanding of hygienic Mixing & Blending technologies
  • Strong commercial mindset, ideally with around 2+ years of experience in technical sales within food and/or pharma markets
  • Solid technical knowledge in HFH (Hygienic Fluid Handling) applications
  • Degree in Industrial Engineering or similar field (preferred)
  • Comfortable working in Spanish and English, both essential for the role
  • Knowledge of French is a great plus (Italian will also be considered a strong advantage).
  • Valid driving license
  • Open to regular travel across Europe, including France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Greece
  • Based in Madrid, Spain.
