About the job
The Production Engineering & Support department plays a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations. It provides technical expertise to optimize equipment performance, resolve production issues, and drive continuous improvement. The team manages the full lifecycle of production equipment, from planning and acquisition to upgrades and decommissioning, ensuring long-term sustainability and cost-efficiency. Through structured project management execution, collaboration with R&D, and alignment with quality and safety standards, the department secures the mechanical capabilities and operational readiness of the factory. Your responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with ATEX and the machinery directive through HAZOP analysis, with a strong focus on machine and process optimization to boost performance, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency.
Lead and support technical projects using PROMAL (Stage-Gate) project management model and Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve equipment performance and production efficiency.
Superb analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Support identifying root cause and corrective actions within all areas of production, in collaboration with various stakeholders.
Prepare URS, business cases, and evaluate technical offers for equipment investments and upgrades.
Stay current with engineering and production technologies, actively sharing insights to foster innovation and cross-functional collaboration.
This position is based at our Nakskov site, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 0–10 days per year. Alfa Laval offers a flexible work environment, including up to two remote workdays per week.
What you know
You bring a background in production engineering or a similar field, combined with solid experience from the manufacturing industry. With a proven track record in managing technical projects in a global environment, you are eager to help Alfa Laval stay compliant, support our Operations Roadmap, and prepare and execute future projects that drive continuous improvement.
Degree in engineering ideally within mechanical-, marine- (Maskinmester), or chemical with process experience.
Documented experience in executing technical projects within process industries, combined with hands-on production engineering tasks in a manufacturing environment.
Chemical knowledge in relation to polymer production, ensuring you can collaborate effectively with R&D and contribute to improvements in material performance and production stability.
Great plus if you have process understanding related to membrane production, including mixing, casting, and coating technology.
