AlfaWall Oceanbird AB is a 50/50 joint venture, owned by Alfa Laval and Wallenius but operated as an independent company. We are developing wing sail technology for the global shipping market and are now looking for a Project Management Officer (PMO) to establish and develop the Project Management Office, enhancing how we coordinate projects, collaborate across teams, and scale the organisation to be able to deliver multiple parallel projects.

The Role
As PMO, you will play a key role in creating structure, coordination, and transparency across cross-functional activities and projects. You will support planning, governance, reporting, and execution of both customer-facing and internal strategic projects.
This role requires strong organizational and stakeholder management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-moving engineering-driven environment where processes and ways of working are still evolving. You will contribute to scaling deliveries, improving collaboration across functions, and building more structured and efficient ways of working across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and follow up on project resource manning to ensure the right competencies and capacity are allocated across customer projects and internal strategic initiatives
Manage day-to-day activities and priorities related to the customer delivery
Establish and maintain project structures, timelines, reporting, and governance processes
Coordinate activities across Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Supply Chain, and Customer Project
Monitor project progress, risks, dependencies, and resource needs
Provide timely communication to management on top risks and key issues, as relevant
Manage development of project management tools, processes, and ways of working
Facilitate communication, alignment, and decision-making across functions
Contribute to operational scaling and continuous improvement initiatives
What We Are Looking For

You likely bring:
Experience working with complex technical or industrial projects
Experience of the marine industry with international yard and engineering experience
Strong planning, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple activities and priorities simultaneously
Experience working cross-functionally in engineering-driven organizations
Strong proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and reporting structures
Strong communication skills in an international environment
Experience supporting industrial scaling, customer deliveries, engineering projects, or operational development initiatives is highly valuable.
