Our Business Unit Decanters delivers projects based on rotating equipment separation technology, to customers in a wide range of industries including food, energy and wastewater. We are growing and are looking for a Project Manager to join our project management team.
About the job
The department consists of 3 teams, project management, mechanical engineering and automation engineering. The department works with cost estimation and proposals, design, delivery and commissioning of decanter systems.
You will join the project management team and as a Project Manager you will be responsible for the project execution from proposal stage, contract signing to final successful closure of the projects. In the role you will have close contact with our sales companies around the world, our internal operations organization, global sales as well as various expert functions. Key tasks and responsibilities:
Manage projects and contracts from bid phase to final hand-over to customer, delivering on costs, time, and quality.
Apply best project management practices to lead and steer the team members safely through all stages of the project.
Review cost estimates and quotes and comply with project budgets and manage variations and change orders.
Develop and manage project time- and resource schedules.
Monitor and manage project budgets to ensure financial targets are met.
Prepare and present regular financial reports to stakeholders, highlighting any variances and proposing corrective actions.
Identify technical and financial risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
The job is based in Søborg, Copenhagen. There will be 30-60 travelling days a year globally. Alfa Laval offers a hybrid work model with the opportunity to work from home when it fits with your tasks.
What you know
You are an experienced and professional project manager with a mechanical engineering degree or similar technical background, with the ability to manage customer contracts in an international environment. Your experience within project management could be technical or commercial. Furthermore, you have:
Experience within fluid-, separation or process systems, from the food, wastewater or similar industry.
The ability to manage projects from conception to completion, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with cross-functional and international teams and stakeholders.
Understanding of relevant global industry standards and regulations, e.g., ISO, ASME, sanitary etc.
CE and ATEX experience, incl. documentation, is an advantage, but not mandatory.
Professional English language skill is mandatory.
