Who you are:
We are looking for a Project Site Manager for our Business Unit Heat & Gas systems (BU HGS) Qingdao Marine organization. As a Project Site Manager, you are working in our Power & Offshore business, and you are part of the Project Management team. You work with offshore top-side boiler module projects which we are delivering to our offshore customers. It is your responsibility to manage and execute the construction phase of our boiler module projects. You lead our construction site supervising team to follow that our module building supplier is following contract and building module according to agreed terms and conditions. The work location will be in a construction site for the duration of each project (normally 6-12 months). We are primary searching project site manager to our construction projects executed in China. You should have possibility also lead construction projects for example in Southeast Asia (Singapore) and Middle East (Dubai) if needed. Your working location is our Qingdao office while not having module execution projects ongoing.
You are reporting locally to BU HGS Qingdao Site Manager, and you have operational dotted line to Manager of Project Management team in Power & Offshore. Project Site Manager has a project specific reporting responsibility to Project Manager who is charge of complete project. You are closely working internally with Project Manager, complete project team (mechanical-, electrical-, process-, quality-, commissioning engineers) and site supervising organization. Externally you are working with our customer, end customer, module building supplier, subcontractors of module supplier, other suppliers, classification authorities and other relevant stakeholders who are involved to module construction work.
To succeed in this position, you have engineer background and experience from offshore or shipbuilding industry. You have good organizing, co-ordination and communication skills. You are cooperative and able to communicate in fluent English.
