About the job:
We’re looking for a hands-on and forward-thinking QHSE Manager to lead quality, health, safety, and environmental efforts at our Alfa Laval site in Allschwil, Switzerland. 


Our site in Allschwil is one of the world leaders in the design and manufacture of cryogenic pumps for the liquefied gas industry.


You will report directly to the Managing Director of Alfa Laval Switzerland AG and work closely with the Steering Committee team, driving initiatives that elevate our QHSE standards and performance. This is a strategic and operational role where you’ll be the go-to person for shaping and implementing our quality, safety and environmental roadmap. 

What you will do:
•    Lead the development and execution of the QHSE strategy for Allschwil site, aligned with Group policies and objectives
•    Define, monitor, and communicate KPIs, ensuring targets are clearly understood and achieved. 
•    Define and roll out processes, tools, and systems that support world-class performance.
•    Ensure the QHSE organization has the right competencies and mindset to meet our quality and safety goals. Lead and mentor the QHSE Team.
•    Own and continuously improve the Quality Management System.
•    Ensure appropriate tracking of non-conformities (external and internal) and build a solid process to tackle them in a permanent manner, involving all relevant departments in the organization.
•    Collaborate across teams to embed QHSE into daily operations and long-term planning.
•    Maintain and update QMS documentation according to ISO standards and internal/group policies.
•    Support internal and external audits, including certification processes.
•    Promote a strong safety culture through leadership engagement and local initiatives Conduct and assist in regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and coordinate incident reporting and investigations.
•    Monitor emissions, waste, and energy consumption; propose reduction initiatives and lead sustainability projects (e.g., waste segregation, energy efficiency).
•    Run or participate in continuous improvement projects/activities in QHSE area, in particular to prevent any kind of injuries and occupational diseases, to prevent and limit the impacts coming from our activities in the environment and to increase the quality standard of our processes/products and in alignment with Alfa Laval QHSE Strategy.

What You Bring/Who you are:
•    Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or related field.
•    Deep understanding of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001
•    Knowledge and experience in DESP, ASME, marine classes, ATEX, etc. would be a plus
•    A proactive leader with minimum 5 years of managerial experience in QHSE, preferably in a global industrial context.
•    Genuine interest in safety management and regulatory compliance.
•    Fluency in French and English (written and spoken)
•    A dynamic leadership style, strong organizational abilities, and sound decision-making skills.
•    Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and QMS software tools.
•    Someone who enjoys working with both strategic frameworks and hands-on implementation.
•    Strong communicator with collaborative approach.
