About the job:

As an integral member of our team, the Refrigeration OEM Sales Manager will play a pivotal role strategically driving sales for the Gasketed, Brazed and Fusion Bonded Heat Exchangers within new customers and existing accounts.  You will be responsible for establishing the sales strategy, ways to market, driving the business in strategic and tactical functions, and driving sales growth through existing customers and new markets.  The position will continue the transformation journey of our organization to a modern data driven organization, with a high focus on customer satisfaction.

Currently, this is a hybrid opportunity located in Richmond, VA or Houston, TX.

As a part of the team, you will:

  • Follow established sales processes and guidelines to promote and sell Alfa Laval Product and services.
  • Analyze and understand market insights and the customers buying behavior and make sales plans according to the business division strategy and targets, by working closely with experienced sales or sales team leader.
  • Look for and manage leads from the market and customers, and convert them in real business opportunities in other to ensure the pipeline.
  • Be active in the market and focus on making visits, meetings and interactions to customers, focusing on customer needs understanding and highlighting the value of our products and services.
  • Runs the operation by managing the customer grid and proactive planning in our tools.
  • Develop value quotes reflecting the customer needs stressing the unique selling points and follow up.
  • Use the CRM tool and other tools in a consistent and qualitative way, to support the sales process and take decisions.

What you know:

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent knowledge and experience and:

  • 5+ years of experience in Sales, Engineering, or Business Development.
  • Ability to analyze markets, competitors, and opportunities to develop effective business strategies.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Knowledge of the refrigeration applications and market (preferred).
  • Strong at working with diverse internal and external stakeholders to align efforts and drive results.
  • Excellent at conveying ideas, presenting solutions, and building relationships with customers and partners.
  • Flexible and resourceful in navigating changing market conditions and overcoming challenges to achieve growth.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%-60% of the time.
