About the job…
This role will be responsible for developing new leads, identifying and communicating with potential new customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring a smooth sales process. The remote regional salesperson will qualify our lead generation from multiple outlets including, CRM, LiveChat and outside leads generated by the Marketing Division. To be successful you should be able to build instant rapport and achieve customer satisfaction due to your ability to solve problems and expedite customer requests within Alfa Laval systems.
This is a hybrid position located in Kenosha, WI.
Responsibilities include:
Communicating with customers, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on leads.
Understanding customers' needs and identifying and creating sales opportunities.
Answering potential customers' questions and sending additional information through phone calls or email.
Keeping up with product and service information and technical updates.
Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential customers using our CRM tools.
Explaining and demonstrating features of products and services through digital platforms.
Staying informed about competing products and services and updating field sales when appropriate.
Working across all sales geographies in United States to build sales pipeline, this includes prospecting potential clients through cold calling and establishing visits for local RSM, or SME.
Researching and qualifying new leads, through deep data dives using existing installed base tools.
Closing sales and achieving sales targets.
Establish clear priorities; schedules activities to ensure optimum use of time and resources; monitors performance against objectives.
What you know:
Bachelor’s degree.
3 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferable in distribution.
Knowledge of Food processing, pharmaceutical /Biopharmaceutical, cosmetic, beverage, Dairy and Cheese industry.
Keen sense of urgency to making things happened through effective planning; and the commitment to monitor, control, follow up and take corrective actions.
Requires a solid balance of analytical, strategic and commercial skills.
Team player with strong evidence of leadership and motivational skills, as influence over those without direct authority is key to program success.
Creativity and resourcefulness are essential qualities for this position.
The position requires a candidate that thrives on challenges and is driven by the need to succeed and the desire to create and realize new opportunities.
The candidate must be articulate, persuasive and self-confident, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to execute innovative marketing and sales programs.

At Alfa Laval, we carefully consider a wide range of factors to determine your total compensation package. We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job, background, skills, and experience to get it right. The base salary for this role is typically $90,000 to $115,000.
