What you will do

You will start your journey at Alfa Laval by becoming a specialist in our product PureBallast. PureBallast 3 | Alfa Laval. Your tasks will vary from maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning on-site, mostly in the ARA area, the ports of Antwerp, Rotterdam, and Amsterdam. If necessary, also elsewhere in consultation. Initially, you will accompany an experienced buddy, and over time, you will work independently. Meanwhile, there is room for (product) training, both online and at our office in Breda.

A summary of tasks:

  • Working on board ships with Alfa Laval ballast water treatment systems (PureBallast).

  • Independently handling the commissioning of systems on both new and existing ships.

  • Performing planned maintenance on operational systems.

  • Troubleshooting and optimizing operational systems.

  • Maintaining the equipment.

Your skills

You exude technical expertise, are solution-oriented with strong customer focus, and capable of making quick yet well-considered difficult decisions to meet customer needs. You thrive on working on urgent and sometimes complex issues.


Requirements:

  • You have a technical background, such as electromechanics or maritime officer.

  • You have relevant work experience in field service engineering or have worked on board ships.

  • Excellent (fluent) communication skills in English.

  • Ideally, you live in the immediate vicinity of the largest ports.

  • You are flexible due to the dynamic nature of the maritime world. You do not have a 9-to-5 mentality and have no problems working during several weekends and holidays annually.
