Solution Architect Financial Services

  • Krakow
  • Lund
  • Full time

Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water and shipping.

As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.

Role Overview:

As a Solution Architect, you will design and implement scalable, secure financial systems focused on consolidation, reporting, and tax management. You’ll work closely with finance and IT teams to understand business needs and develop solutions that meet both regulatory and business requirements. This role involves working on both ongoing projects and strategic initiatives, ensuring that Alfa Laval is prepared for current and future needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Financial Solutions

  • Collaborate with finance teams to identify needs in reporting, consolidation, and tax management.

  • Develop solutions that meet regulatory standards and align with industry best practices.

Develop & Implement Technical Architecture

  • Create scalable, secure architecture that meets both current and future business demands.

  • Work closely with IT to implement solutions that seamlessly integrate data and enable real-time reporting and secure data storage.

Collaborate with Product Owners and Finance Teams

  • Partner with product owners to prioritize features and align solutions with financial objectives.

  • Translate complex financial requirements into clear, effective technical solutions.

Project Leadership and Execution

  • Lead and contribute to key projects focused on improving financial close, consolidation, and reporting processes.

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, managing risks and addressing challenges throughout the project lifecycle.

Ongoing System Optimization

  • Regularly evaluate and refine existing solutions to enhance scalability, efficiency, and user experience.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to evolve Alfa Laval’s financial systems.

Ensure Compliance and Security

  • Ensure all solutions comply with relevant regulatory and security standards, covering data protection, reporting accuracy, and audit readiness.

  • Implement best practices for securing sensitive financial data and maintaining system integrity.

Requirements and Preferred Skills:

Experience and Technical Skills

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in solution architecture, focusing on financial systems and enterprise-level integrations.

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is required; familiarity with iSCALA or Infor M3 is a plus, though experience with other ERP systems is also valuable.

  • Solid knowledge of leading financial consolidation and close solutions, with exposure to Gartner best practices.

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure for cloud-based financial processes and system integrations.

  • Strong understanding of IFRS standards to ensure globally compliant financial reporting.

Personal Qualities and Collaboration Skills

  • Strong collaborative skills, with experience working closely with both internal teams and external partners.

  • Proven project management skills, especially in implementing and developing new system solutions.

  • Analytical and solution-oriented, with the ability to translate business requirements into adaptable technical solutions.

Preferred Skills

  • Interest and/or experience with AI-driven technologies, such as transaction matching and anomaly detection, is an asset.

Assessment practicalities:

We are reviewing applications continuously, make sure to send in yours as soon as possible. Please note that due to the GDPR we do not accept applications sent via email.

We care about diversity, inclusion, and equity in our recruitment processes. We also believe behavioral traits can provide important insights into a candidate's fit to a role.
