About the job
As a Strategic Sourcing Project Manager, you will lead strategic sourcing projects within elastomers, with the objective of optimizing our supplier base and managing an annual spend of more than DKK 100 million.
Your focus will be on supporting our Superior Customer Experience Program by ensuring stable and reliable deliveries to our factories and distribution center, without compromising on sustainability, safety, quality, delivery, or cost. The role combines strategic and tactical responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to actively shape our supplier base while aligning sourcing decisions with long-term business objectives, legislation, and evolving business needs.
You will join our Sourcing team of 16 dedicated professionals; all committed to sourcing excellence. Key responsibilities:
Lead strategic sourcing projects covering 500+ parts, with a focus on developing and implementing preferred supplier strategies.
Optimize the supplier base across cost, quality, delivery, safety, sustainability, and compliance.
Ensure continuity and reliability of supply for our production and distribution operations.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while driving continuous improvement and performance.
Collaborate closely with R&D, Product Management, Production, and other stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business needs.
Analyze spend, supplier performance, and market data to identify opportunities and support fact-based decision-making.
Ensure sourcing activities comply with relevant legislation, company policies, and business requirements.
Drive initiatives that strengthen our supply chain and contribute to an improved overall customer experience.
The position will be based in Kolding, Denmark. Travel activity is expected to be approximately 10-20 days per year.
Who you are
You are a self-driven and structured procurement professional who knows how to prioritize tasks and projects for maximum impact. You work confidently with local stakeholders in R&D, Product Management and production and communicate clearly to build strong, effective relationships. You take ownership of your work, regularly reflect and adjust, and are motivated by personal and professional growth.
What you know
You bring 5–10 years of experience in strategic procurement or sourcing, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
You have proven experience leading sourcing or cross-functional projects and delivering measurable results.
You have experience with supplier management, supplier development, and optimizing supplier bases.
You are skilled in PPAP and Lean Six Sigma tools and have used them to drive measurable improvements.
You have experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and know how to build alignment across functions and with suppliers.
You communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken. Danish is a plus.
