About the job

Warehouse Coordinator

  • Houston
  • Full time

Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water and shipping.

As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.

About the job
As an integral member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting field service operations by managing logistics for parts and tools. You will have the opportunity to coordinate shipments, operate warehouse equipment, and ensure accurate documentation for service-related activities, contributing to the overall success and growth of our organization. Currently, this is an on-site opportunity located in Houston, TX.

As a part of the team, you will:
• Receive and process incoming shipments of parts and tools, ensuring accuracy and timely handling
• Select, pack, and ship rigging and lifting equipment based on job scope
• Safely operate a forklift to load and unload trucks
• Coordinate tool calibration programs and expedite parts as needed
• Communicate critical order information to internal and external customers
• Support Field Service KPIs and act as backup for other FS Service Coordinators
• Use digital platforms for customer updates
• Participate in meetings and improvement initiatives

What you know
You have a high school diploma (some college preferred) and:
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, job shop, or customer service environment
• Forklift certification preferred; ability to lift at least 80 lbs.
• Experience with cranes, rigging, and heavy equipment handling
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
• Familiarity with standard PC software and web-based platforms
• Willingness and availability to travel periodically within the USA for training or site visits.

You demonstrate key behaviors such as customer focus, agility, and a strong ability to learn.

What’s in it for you?

We offer a challenging position in an open and friendly environment where we help each other to develop and create value. Your work will have a true impact on Alfa Laval’s future success. Our benefits-eligible associates enjoy healthcare, dental and vision plans, a robust wellness program, generous 401(k), paid holidays, paid time off benefits, and more. At Alfa Laval, we carefully consider a wide range of factors to determine your total compensation package. We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job, background, skills, and experience to get it right.
