We’re looking for
Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers, and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water, and shipping.
As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.
About The Job
You will be responsible for accounting operations and for coordinating collaboration with counterparts in finance processes—such as the Finance Shared Service Centre and Local Finance teams. Your role plays a key part in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement in our financial practices. Besides that, you will also be an important part of our D365 implementation planned for 2026. Your key responsibilities include:
Accounting Operations: Ensure the accurate and appropriate recording of all accounting transactions, including revenues and expenses. Reconcile accounts, maintain up-to-date and accurate bookkeeping, and manage the general ledger in line with accounting principles and reporting schedules. Support month-end closings and help resolve accounting discrepancies or irregularities.
Collaboration & Controls: Coordinate with the Finance Shared Service Centre to monitor the correctness of system transactions (AP, AR, Travel Expenses). Establish and monitor accounting control procedures to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal group policies.
Reporting & Projects: Follow up on projects (investment, internal, E&S, and others), claims, and VAT. Support inventory reconciliation and manage various reporting obligations such as CBAM, Intrastat, and internal reports.
Systems & Process Ownership: Take responsibility for Finance ERP systems and contribute to their improvement. Act as a process owner for accounting, ensuring quality, consistency, and driving process enhancements.
This is a great opportunity to take on a key role in a dynamic environment with exciting development ahead in our financial systems and processes. At Alfa Laval, we embrace a hybrid work model, providing you the flexibility to work from home when it aligns with your tasks. This position is based at our Nakskov office.
What You Know
You have a background in finance or accounting, backed by a relevant degree and +5 years of experience—ideally from an international or manufacturing environment. You’re comfortable working with general ledger activities, reconciliations, and month-end closings, and you understand accounting standards like IFRS. Fluency in English is essential, and Danish is a bonus.
Who you are
You’re curious by nature and motivated by making a difference. With a strong drive for results, you take ownership and follow through—always aiming to create real value for the business and our customers. You’re quick to learn, open to new perspectives, and thrive in a dynamic environment where agility matters.
Your sharp business sense helps you see both the details and the bigger picture, and you use that insight to make sound, thoughtful decisions. You bring energy into what you do and enjoy working with others in a collaborative, respectful way. Being open, active, and engaged is simply how you operate—because for you, progress is a team effort.
