We’re looking for
Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water and shipping.
As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.
About the Job
The activities of Alfa Laval Food Systems Business Unit are divided into the following product areas: Oils & Fats, Agro & Protein, Brewery, and Evaporation Systems.
As part of this graduate program, you will get a chance to gain insights into engineering activities in your chosen industry by participating and driving multiple projects.
Alfa Laval Engineering graduate program offers talented and motivated young professionals an opportunity to apply and expand their knowledge, acquire new skills, and learn from skilled engineers in the industry.
As an Alfa Laval graduate, you will be considered a permanent employee from day one, solve business challenges, and become part of a large network of professionals in a global organization.
Key activities
During the graduate program, you will develop and implement projects within your ‘core’ industry, Brewery Systems
In the Alfa Laval Brewery Industry, we design and optimize a range of units and larger projects, primarily for the processing part of the Cold Block in a brewery. We focus on developing proven and competitive solutions to make a difference for our customers and for the planet with its people.
Taking advantage of the latest technology, you will have a chance to work with new cutting-edge processes as well as good proven solutions – all with the objective of lowering the cost and environmental impact of a good beer.
In our daily work we enjoy working with our global colleagues in US, China, India and Brazil and we like to use a lot of Alfa Laval state of the art hygienic components like mix-proof valves, plate heat exchangers, pumps, high speed separators etc.
During the 2 years you will get a good feel for the complete workflow of Engineering & Supply. The focus will be on the engineering, starting by clarifying the customer needs, P&ID’s, calculating the cost price, detailed engineering, project execution, FAT tests, installation and finally commissioning – It is where you experience what you have built.
You will also participate in an in-depth rotation in one of the other industries of the Food Systems Business Unit. During your rotation, you will get the chance to:
Participate in a customer project
Handle continuous improvement projects
Handle R&D projects
Participate in a commissioning job

Mentorship
You will be assigned a mentor who can help and support you.
The program will start on September 1st 2025.
Who you are
You are self-motivated and eager to learn. You are driven and see solutions rather than problems; you can effectively prioritize and execute tasks. A focus on continuous improvement is in your DNA. You build trust by engaging in open and clear communication with colleagues and stakeholders.
