Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers, and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water, and shipping.

As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.

Alfa Laval is building its Industrial Flow business to shape the next generation of industrial fluid handling solutions. Today, the portfolio is anchored in proven technologies but needs to be expanded to meet the demands of industrial applications. Industrial Flow now offers a unique opportunity to join a growth journey with a start-up mindset, backed by the scale and expertise of Alfa Laval. This is a chance to help build a future-ready portfolio for demanding industrial applications.

About The Job

In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the future Industrial Flow portfolio within Alfa Laval. You will work at the intersection of market, sales companies, and technology, with responsibility for understanding industry needs and translating them into clear product and portfolio directions. The role combines strategic analysis with hands-on portfolio development, guiding product development, acquisitions, and launch priorities. Your focus will be to identify gaps and opportunities in the current offering, define the way forward for Industrial Flow, and ensure that product and application meet real industrial demands. You will help build a competitive, future-ready portfolio that supports Alfa Laval’s long-term growth ambitions. Your tasks will be:

  • Review and analyze the competitiveness of the product and service portfolio from a customer, application, and industry perspective.

  • Identify portfolio gaps and define needs for technology development, new product development and product renovation.

  • Translate market, customer, and application requirements into clear product and portfolio directions.

  • Work closely with other stakeholders to ensure strong application fits across the portfolio.

  • Define launch strategies and priorities.

  • Own and drive the portfolio roadmap and prioritization, ensuring alignment with Industrial Flow strategy and business objectives.

At Alfa Laval, we embrace a hybrid work model, providing you the flexibility to work from home when it aligns with your tasks. This position can be at our Lund, Søborg or Kolding office, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 40 days per year.

What You Know

  • M.Sc. in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or equivalent) with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Solid experience in process engineering within the industrial food industry or similar sectors (e.g., pulp & paper, general manufacturing).

  • Experience in product or portfolio management, including roadmap planning, launch strategies, or cross-functional decision-making, is highly valued.

  • Hands-on experience with industrial pumps and/or other fluid handling equipment.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate market and customer needs into product specifications, portfolio priorities, and development directions.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity, drive initiatives forward, and contribute to building a growing business.

  • Strong communication skills and fluent in English, written and spoken.

About You

You have an entrepreneurial mindset and strong business acumen, combined with a structured and analytical way of working. You are curious by nature, energized by complex questions, and motivated to continuously learn and explore new solutions. You actively seek to understand problems in depth by asking the right questions and challenging assumptions.

You are agile and adaptable, able to navigate uncertainty while maintaining focus and drive toward results. With a proactive approach and high level of accountability, you turn insights into clear actions and contribute effectively to building something new.

What’s in it for you

You will be part of building the Industrial Flow business from the ground up - a new, high ambition initiative within Alfa Laval’s Food & Pharma division. This is a rare opportunity to join early, shape the journey, and make a visible impact as the organization grows. You will work with an entrepreneurial mindset, creating something new while being supported by the scale, stability, and global reach of Alfa Laval.
