Alfa Laval R&D Decanters is searching for a skilled student assistant who would like to be part of expanding our technological knowledge and make an impact on the future development of decanters.

About the job

In close cooperation with a senior engineer in R&D, you will engage in the following tasks:

  • Concept development of custom electronics
  • Test, evaluate and select new components
  • Design of digital and analog PCBs (Schematics + Layout, Altium Designer)
  • Programming of microcontrollers (ESP32 and Raspberry Pi / Linux)
  • Hardware bring-up and debugging, incl. soldering, reworking, probing etc.)
  • Development of ideas, calculations, tests and simulations
  • Develop and execute tests to validate custom PCBs, by measuring and analyzing, using oscilloscopes, data loggers, etc.

Who you are

As a person you are open and informal, enjoy communicating and interacting with your colleagues, and are used to working in project teams across multiple engineering fields.

You have a systematic approach to your work and will enjoy supporting our PCB innovation.

What you know

We imagine that you study electrical / mechatronic engineering, and have a deep interest in innovation and product development within electronics

You have a theoretical background within electrical engineering and have a flair for putting your knowledge into practice. You understand electrical circuits on a theoretical level while also having hands on experience working with electronics and custom PCB design.

As part of a global organisation, speaking and writing English is a prerequisite.


The job is based in Søborg.
