In this role, you will contribute to the development, execution, and implementation of product development projects that support an innovative and competitive membrane portfolio. You will work across the product development journey, from initial concept through to launch, ensuring that solutions meet customer needs and align with the membrane product roadmap.

  • Support the development of new products and services from initial concepts to launch, ensuring they meet customer and business needs.
  • Maintain and improve the existing product portfolio, including design changes and risk/impact assessments.
  • Plan and follow up on the production of prototypes and samples, as well as laboratory and product testing.
  • Collaborate with lab engineers, test engineers and other stakeholders, with hands-on involvement where appropriate to the project.
  • Provide technical support to internal teams and assist with customer claims and issue resolution.
  • Take responsibility for product and component design.
  • Present technical solutions and communicate project progress to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support supply and purchasing activities, including technical discussions and collaboration with external suppliers.
  • Prepare activity plans, timelines, and budgets for assigned projects, and manage delivery within agreed scope, time, and budget.
  • Identify, document, and escalate project risks in accordance with Alfa Laval’s project management processes.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for product, process, and technology improvements.

You will be based in Nakskov with the possibility to use Søborg office and will report to R&D Manager.

What you know

  • At least three years of relevant industrial experience, preferably from a membrane R&D or product development environment or similar industry
  • Hands-on experience with roll-to-roll MF/UF/NF/RO membrane development, membrane characterizations, testing, design changes/validation experience is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of phase inversion and/or thin film coatings, relationship between membrane formulations vs process parameters on membrane performance
  • Practical experience or an interest in further developing your competence for statistical analysis and/or design of experiments
  • Comfortable coordinating activities across multiple stakeholders while developing your project management skills
  • Knowledge of membrane applications in the food and pharmaceutical industries, related regulations are beneficial

A cooperative and communicative working style comes naturally to you, and you are energized by an agile environment with varied tasks, practical problem-solving and collaboration across functions, business units and locations.
