About the role
Research & Development in Business Unit Brazed and Fusion Bonded Heat Exchangers is currently an organization with 70 highly qualified colleagues located in Lund, Ronneby, San Bonifacio, JiangYin and Richmond. We are in a dynamic phase, and we are now looking for a Research and Development Manager BHE (Brazed Heat Exchangers) to replace the current holder who is moving on to new challenges in the company.
In this role you will be leading the BHE Plate and Thermal Design Team in R&D, with approximately 10 positions comprising development engineers, thermal specialists and mechanical specialists. These are located in Lund and San Bonifacio. You will be responsible for the development of new products, as well as maintaining capability and capacity for a number of research and development tools and work aids.
In cooperation with cross-functional organizations you will work to deliver development in accordance with the BHE product road map and the BFB technology road map.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, motivate, develop and manage the BHE Plate and Thermal Design Team,
Ensure a balanced development portfolio in accordance with the BHE product road map, BFB technology road map and business priorities,
Interact and align cross-functionally on the BHE development portfolio
Actively participate and interact in the wider R&D community and the BFB R&D management team
The position is located in Lund and your direct manager will be the Head of R&D in Business Unit Brazed and Fusion Bonded Heat Exchangers. The position will require around 20-30 days of travel per year.
What you know:
You hold a university degree in mechanical engineering and bring substantial experience in innovation and product development, enabling you to oversee complex technical challenges with confidence. You have at least three years of leadership experience guiding engineering specialists within a matrix organization, demonstrating your ability to coordinate diverse teams, manage priorities, and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement. You leverage digital tools, modelling techniques, and advanced laboratory technologies to enhance efficiency and elevate the technical output of your team, ensuring that R&D activities consistently support long-term business growth.
