About the job…

The Field Sales Engineer is responsible for developing and driving sales of Alfa Laval’s solutions within the Energy segment, managing customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities within the assigned territory.

This role is focused on field engagement, combining technical and commercial expertise to deliver value to customers and support their operational and sustainability goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of customers within the assigned territory, building strong and long-term relationships
  • Identify, qualify and pursue new business opportunities within the Energy segment (e.g., Oil & Gas, Inorganic Chemicals)
  • Conduct regular customer visits (on-site and virtual), meetings and technical discussions to understand customer needs and position Alfa Laval solutions
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation and opportunity development to closing, with a strong focus on results
  • Promote Alfa Laval’s products and services, clearly communicating value propositions and differentiators
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Service, Engineering – Hispanic America team) to deliver tailored and competitive solutions
  • Maintain an accurate pipeline, forecasts and activity tracking in CRM tools
  • Follow established sales processes and guidelines to ensure consistency and effectiveness
  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior and competitive landscape to support strategic decisions
  • Travel within the assigned territory to support business development activities

What you know:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or related fields
  • 3–5 years of experience in technical or field sales within industrial or energy-related industries
  • Strong commercial mindset and customer-oriented approach
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities and prioritize effectively
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Proactive, resilient and results-driven attitude
  • Experience with CRM tools is a plus
  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency
  • Availability to travel up to 50%
