The position / About the Job:

In this job the Mechanical Engineer would be responsible for:

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Be part of developing new ideas and concepts related to technology. This can include new designs, features, materials developments, and even new types of technical solutions.
• Follow up and participate in production of prototypes, lab tests.
• Development of new products and services from product concept to launch to match customer needs.
• Maintenance of the existing portfolio.
• Design changes, support to supply and purchasing activities.
• Technical support, Claim support.
• Product & system design ownership

What can you be?

Qualifications & experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 5–7 years of relevant industry experience.
• Position located in Pune, working closely with the BU HSS R&D organization in Sweden.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in product development, engineering design, and maintenance and claim handling.
• Solid understanding of material properties, specifications, international standards, hygienic design principles, welding standards, and geometrical tolerances.
• Knowledge of piping standards, pipe sizing, and selection/sizing of process equipment along with installation requirements based on application.
• Ability to interpret process needs and translate them into accurate P&IDs.
• Hands‑on experience with CAD tools such as Autodesk Inventor, Vault, and AutoCAD for developing P&IDs, 2D/3D designs, layouts, and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with additional tools like Cadison, Matpipe, Creo, SolidWorks, etc., is an added advantage.
• Experience in generating and maintaining product structures in PLM systems and working knowledge of ERP systems.
• Capable of performing FATs, verification activities, and conducting design reviews.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and production units.
• Commitment to staying updated on new technologies, hygienic design methodologies, and modern engineering tools.
• Awareness of relevant design standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Understanding of good design and manufacturing practices with the ability to deliver technically accurate, cost‑effective, and sustainable solutions.
• Demonstrates an agile yet holistic approach to assigned tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Willingness to travel as required.
