About the Job

As an integral member of our Operations team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring inventory accuracy, material traceability, and efficient warehouse operations that support manufacturing and customer delivery commitments. You will perform cycle counts, inventory audits, discrepancy investigations, and material verification activities while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

You will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with manufacturing, warehouse, and operations teams to improve inventory processes, resolve discrepancies, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that support business success.

Currently, this is an on-site opportunity located in Houston, TX.

This opportunity starts as temporary employment with conversion to direct hire upon successful performance evaluation.

As a part of the team, you will:

  • Perform cycle counts, recounts, physical inventory verifications, and location audits with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and support corrective actions through system reviews, material tracking, and physical verification.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through inventory transactions, adjustments, transfers, and status updates in inventory management systems.
  • Safely operate forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and overhead cranes to support inventory control activities.
  • Identify and segregate damaged, nonconforming, or questionable materials in accordance with inventory control procedures.
  • Participate in daily status meetings and communicate inventory, quality, safety, and operational concerns.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, 5S activities, and inventory process enhancements.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety, quality, and company policies while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

We care about diversity, inclusion and equity in our recruitment processes. We also believe behavioral traits can provide important insights into a candidate's fit to a role. To help us achieve this, we apply Pymetrics assessments, and upon application you will be invited to play the assessment games.

What You Know

You have a high school diploma or GED with relevant experience, and:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, manufacturing, or a related operational environment.
  • Experience performing cycle counts, inventory transactions, inventory auditing, and material handling activities.
  • Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, inventory management software, handheld scanners, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills with the ability to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Basic math skills, including counting, measurements, and reading a tape measure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to professionally interact across departments.

We are seeking a safety-focused and detail-oriented professional who takes ownership of their work and consistently demonstrates accuracy, accountability, and reliability. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, able to work independently, and collaborates effectively with others to achieve team goals. A commitment to continuous improvement, willingness to learn new processes, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential for success in this role. Strong professionalism, adaptability, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced manufacturing environment are highly valued.
