Who you are

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Event and PR Manager to join our Marine Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing public relations activities, planning and coordinating events to enhance the division’s visibility and reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Events:
  • Plan, organize, and execute events such as trade shows, conferences, seminars and webinars.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful event execution.
  • Evaluate event outcomes and provide recommendations for future improvements.
  • Monitor media coverage and provide reports to measure PR effectiveness
  • Explore speaker opportunities to enhance presence at events and work with internal teams to identify and prepare speakers
• Public Relations:
  • Manage media relations, responding to media inquiries, and arranging interviews.
  • Develop and maintain a positive public image for the Marine Division through various communication channels.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and PR best practices to enhance strategies.

What you know:

• Bachelor’s degree in public relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations, and event management.
• Strong ability to learn/ understand the marine industry
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Content writing capabilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using PR and event management software/tools.
