About the job

As an integral member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the installation and ramp-up of advanced manufacturing cells – including CNC Milling, Washing, Annealing, Side pull Press, CNC Turning, and Shotblasting. You will have the opportunity to work within Alfa Laval’s Food & Pharma Division and lead the next major project expansion, contributing to the overall success and growth of our organization. Currently this is an onsite role located in Indianapolis, IN.

As a part of the team, you will:

  • Lead all phases of new manufacturing cell installations, from planning and budgeting through execution and commissioning.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors to deliver projects on time and within budget.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, risk assessments, and progress reports for stakeholders.

  • Directly supervise, mentor, and develop a team.

  • Implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.

  • Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.

  • Oversee the installation, integration, and optimization of CNC Milling, Washing, Annealing, Side pull Press, CNC Turning, and Shotblasting processes.

  • Ensure all equipment and processes meet hygienic standards required for food, beverage, and pharmaceutical applications.

  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to drive process improvements and resolve technical challenges.

  • Uphold strict adherence to sanitary manufacturing requirements and regulatory standards.

  • Implement and maintain robust safety protocols for both project and maintenance activities.

What you know:

You have a bachelor’s degree (Industrial Engineer, Mechanical Engineering, or other engineering preferred) or relevant experience, and:

  • 3-5 years of experience in advanced manufacturing or engineering

  • 3+ years in project management or team leadership

  • Demonstrated success managing capital projects, facility expansions, or complex equipment installations

  • In-depth knowledge of CNC Machining (Milling/Turning), metal forming, thermal processing (annealing), and surface finishing (shotblasting)

  • Ability to lead, develop, and motivate technical or maintenance teams.

  • Proficient in reading mechanical blueprints (GD&T), analyzing production metrics, and implementing process improvements.

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
