Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water and shipping.

As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.

About the job

As an integral member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting repair and reconditioning work for both internal and external customers. Your work will ensure smooth coordination, accurate quoting, and efficient workflow throughout the Service Center. You will have the opportunity to manage repair orders, improve repair processes, and collaborate closely across functions—contributing directly to the success and growth of our organization. This is an on-site opportunity based in Greenwood, IN.

As a part of the team, you will:

• Prioritize and coordinate the overall flow of repair and reconditioning projects to improve utilization and throughput

• Maintain capacity reports, production schedules, and support production meetings

• Research customer equipment in proprietary systems to verify parts, lead times, and accuracy

• Create job packets including drawings, quality plans, checklists, scan sheets, and EHS documentation

• Prepare, formalize, and review repair quotes for both customers and internal Sales teams

• Perform tasks in MRP and other proprietary systems (ordering parts, expediting, creating POs, scheduling freight)

• Communicate repair information to the shop, customers, and sales personnel

• Monitor job costs to maintain acceptable margins

• Support KPI achievement and baseline measurements for the Service Center

• Serve as primary backup for the Technical Coordinator

• Maintain inventory reports and proprietary software systems

• Coordinate and document warranty claims

• Lead and participate in ALPS (Alfa Laval Production System) and improvement initiatives

• Lead or support the Problem Resolution Process (PRP)

• Perform other duties as assigned by management

"We care about diversity, inclusion and equity in our recruitment processes. We also believe behavioral traits can provide important insights into a candidate's fit to a role. To help us achieve this we apply Pymetrics assessments, and upon application you will be invited to play the assessment games."

What you know:

You have a high school diploma or GED, and:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing, job shop, or customer service environment, preferably involving repair or reconditioning

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints

• Experience working with or understanding machining and welding techniques

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to meet deadlines

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work effectively within a team and handle stressful situations

• Basic proficiency with standard word processing and spreadsheet software

• Behaviors: customer service orientation, teamwork, communication skills, flexibility, judgment, initiative, integrity, and drive/tenacity
