Join us as a Unit Manager- Supply Chain  based HFH Factory in Pune to be responsible for the integrated management of planning, conversion, flow and distribution of production materials from a raw material state to a finished product state. The position / About the Job:

  • Develop and coordinate the unit. Responsible for securing that the unit meets short to midterm goals and customer expectations. Actively work with operational local and global interfaces, communicate and coordinate through managers.
  • Supply Chain Manager is directly responsible for the integrated management of planning, conversion, flow and distribution of production materials from a raw material state to a finished product state. This includes the activities of Traffic and Transportation, Production Control, Materials Handling, Materials Planning, Capacity Planning and stores keeping Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost as priorities.
  • Deliver insights on existing processes in Delivery & Warehouse function of the Factory / Function and bridge knowledge gap towards end-users.
  • Support data on PG level for overall capacity flexibility.

In this job the Unit Manager would be responsible for:

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the performance and output of the unit. Responsible for the agreed takt time within the supply chain is kept and maintained.
  • Measurable on DOTp DOTi & OFLT
  • Set and follow up targets for the unit, broken down from factory level within Supply Chain.
  • Drive the development of both people and quality of processes –
  • Secure ALPS / Lean Six Sigma and other Operations initiative in the unit – Run the ALPS Board as
  • per the standard, 5S, kaizen, Projects.
  • Secure Standardized work via SOP’s.
  • Perform audits according to ALPS guidelines.
  • Support costing update for the unit.
  • Support and initiate internal development activities together with support functions - projects
  • Support Problem Solving & Improvement activities –
  • Understand and deal with the real problems of the unit by being present in the department Leadership.   
  • Part of Global S & OP – Attend monthly and Quarterly Global Supply Review Meetings.
  • Responsible for Fixing lead time and update Lead time at GDTL site after approval.
  • Local S & OP : Responsible for leading the meeting from Operation’s prospectives.
  • Design Factory capacity and Supply chain process inline with Forecast including Safety Stocks.

Expectations & Responsibilities:

  • Align overall targets and KPI’s to department goals and KPI’s.
  • Develop leadership skill within team and towards stakeholders
  • Maintain and develop ESI for own team
  • Secure feasible and standard communication plan within team
  • Support with development of different tools to increase flexibility, productivity, order handling, cost calculation, etc.
  • Analyze process deviations and facilitate root cause analysis and solutions via sourcing, order
  • handling, planning and stores- team supported by support functions -
  • Ensure a good level of cooperation between other unit managers.
  • Analyze and present how forecasted sales volumes affect the workload in the workshop, stock levels
  • of finished goods as well as raw material and components
  • Analyze ALPS delivery SB problems on weekly basis and make action plans to overcome issues – .
  • Maintenance of relevant basic data parameters
  • Drive / facilitate project work within the department
  • Develop and approve the Master Production Plan per market requirements and sales channel interface.
  • Monitor and communicate current workload and capacity situation in the workshop
  • Secure frozen production schedule minimum next 6 days
  • Coordinate shipment efforts with Freight forwarders.
  • CO2 Tracking and evaluation
  • Securing highest level of safety in Stores & Logistics
  • Creating total overview of the department load
  • hands-on experience in D365 roll-out
  • Strong knowledge of Supply Chain, Planning, Logistics, dispatch & Warehouse functions, processes, methodologies and tools of around 10+ Years

  • Assembly processes, Lean work flow, aligning the department activities.

Authority & Responsibilities

  • Financial authority to execute within the budget of Logistics
  • Break down the Unit´s overall targets into targets for each Team / Function
  • Follow up targets and take corrective actions in case of deviations
  • To make ALPS audits within the Unit and take corrective actions in case of deviations
  • To execute organizational changes in agreement with FM
  • To delegate tasks in the organization
  • To set salaries within given frame and follow / pay demonstrate for performance culture

Who you are?

As a person who is responsible for securing that the unit meets short-to-mid-term goals and customer expectations. Actively work with operational interfaces, communicate, and coordinate.

Qualifications & experience:

  • BE mechanical or production or equivalent Management degree and experience
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Experience: 10 - 15 years of experience from Supply Chain planning. Production / manufacturing company
  • Experience from improvement tools, e g 5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Project work experience.
