About the role

In the Brazed and Fusion Bonded Heat Exchangers Business Unit (BU BFB), part of our Energy division, we have high ambitions to grow. The Portfolio Manager is instrumental in defining, prioritizing, and optimizing our product and service portfolio, effectively bridging business strategy, product management, and commercial execution. The core purpose of this role is to own and drive the overall portfolio strategy and commercial performance, making the right assortment, lifecycle, and resource allocation decisions to maximize growth, profitability, and market relevance. The Portfolio Manager ensures that all portfolio decisions are insight-driven, commercially robust, and support both our immediate targets and long-term ambitions. The role will be leading the Product Management Team and serving as the key interface between Product Marketing, Sales, and Business Development.The Portfolio Manager transforms strategy into actionable portfolio plans driving commercial success and fostering organizational alignment.

Key responsibilities for this role entail:

Lead & develop the product management organization

  • Act as direct manager for the product management organization currently 4 people, 3 product managers and 1 product line officer

Portfolio strategy & direction

  • Define and continuously evolve the overall portfolio strategy in line with business objectives and market trends.

  • Identify and prioritize growth opportunities, assortment gaps, and new application areas.

  • Set clear “where to play” and “how to win” directions for the portfolio.

Portfolio governance & prioritization

  • Own portfolio prioritization and lifecycle decisions (launch, grow, optimize, phase-out). This will be supported by the product managers for each respective area.

  • Lead portfolio governance processes, including roadmap and resource allocation decisions.

  • Chair and engage in the meeting structure around our portfolio process.

Commercial Performance Management

  • Drive commercial performance across the portfolio, including pricing strategy, margin optimization, and portfolio mix.

  • Set commercial targets and priorities for Product Management.

  • Monitor and report on portfolio revenue, margin, and strategic product performance.

Go-to-Market Alignment

  • Ensure clear go-to-market direction across the portfolio, collaborating with Product Marketing and Sales.

  • Translate portfolio strategy into actionable product plans and commercial initiatives.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as the key interface to Business Development, Sales leadership, and Application Specialists.

  • Collaborate with R&D, Operations, and Market Intelligence to ensure market-driven portfolio decisions.

Lifecycle Management

  • Oversee lifecycle management for all portfolio products and services, ensuring timely launches, optimizations, and phase-outs.

  • Support business case development and investment decisions.

Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze market, customer, and product performance data to inform portfolio decisions.

  • Drive continuous improvement in portfolio management processes and tools.

This role will be part of the management team in Strategic Marketing reporting directly to the head of Strategic Marketing. This position will be in Lund, Sweden or in San Bonifacio, Italy with regular traveling to Lund.

What you know

  • 7+ years of experience in portfolio management, product management, or a related commercial/strategic role, ideally in a global B2B environment.

  • Proven track record in product strategy, portfolio strategy, lifecycle management, and commercial performance optimization.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize market, financial, and operational data into actionable strategies.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving alignment across business functions.

  • Skilled in resource allocation, prioritization, and governance processes.

  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
