About the job

Program Manager - Key Quality Investigations

  • Stockholm
  • Full time

Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact—on our colleagues, partners, customers, and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water, and shipping.

As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.

Our team is looking for a Program Manager - Key Quality Investigations to lead the resolution of complex technical issues and help protect Alfa Laval’s customer relationships, reputation and product performance.

In this role, you will coordinate high-priority investigations across the organization, working closely with Sales companies, R&D, Sales, Service, Product management & Engineering, Product Management and other functions. You will combine strong technical leadership with the ability to influence stakeholders and present fact-based recommendations to senior decision-makers.

You will report directly to the Head of Quality, Business Unit Separation Technologies (BU SET). The role also provides regular exposure to the Claims Steering Committee and the BU SET Management Team, where you will present findings, highlight risks and support business-critical decisions.

About the role

As Program Manager, you will oversee, coordinate and coach several key investigation projects across the organization. You will ensure that investigations are based on sound analysis, that root causes are identified and that effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented.

You will:

  • Lead medium- to large-scale quality investigations, typically involving small- to medium-level complexity or business impact.
  • Support sales companies in identifying and implementing effective remedial actions for key investigations, while coordinating customer communication when required.
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma and Alfa Laval’s project methodology to achieve sustainable results.
  • Focus primarily on the High-Speed portfolio.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure clear ownership, progress tracking and follow-up.
  • Translate technical findings into clear recommendations for both technical and business audiences.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the resolution of some of Alfa Laval’s most significant technical product issues.
  • Ensure that investigations go beyond immediate containment and address the underlying root causes in products, processes and ways of working.
  • Drive lessons learned and improvements that help us deliver quality right from the start.
  • Support our sales companies in resolution of customers’ technical problems.
  • Manage the Claims Steering Committee process and prepare decision material together with project managers.
  • Ensure fact-based, transparent and timely decisions throughout investigations.
  • Prepare and analyze overviews of technical problems, for example, CF100 or PX ring design issues—as a basis for prioritization and decision-making.
  • Review and approve the quality of root-cause analyses and proposed corrective actions.
  • Own and continuously improve the Key Investigations and Claims Steering Committee processes.
  • Report progress, risks, findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders, including BU SET Management Team members.

Who you are
You are a collaborative and structured professional who can engage confidently with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels—from technical specialists and project teams to senior leaders and executives.

You communicate clearly, listen actively and can make complex technical topics understandable to different audiences. You are comfortable facilitating discussions, challenging assumptions constructively and building alignment around evidence-based decisions.

What you know
A degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Several years of relevant experience in quality, engineering, product development, manufacturing, service or technical project management.

Experience with structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis, preferably using Lean Six Sigma methods.

Knowledge of high-speed separators or centrifugal separation is a requirement.

What’s in it for you?
This is an opportunity to combine deep technical problem-solving with broad organizational influence. You will help shape how Alfa Laval learns from complex quality issues, improve our products and processes, and contribute directly to decisions that matter to our customers and our business.
