Sales Engineer - Separation Technology

  • Warsaw
  • Full time

Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water and shipping.

As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.

Ready to lead the market? Join a global leader in separation technology.

Are you a technical sales professional who enjoys understanding how things work, solving real process challenges, and building lasting customer relationships?

At Alfa Laval, separation technology is at the heart of what we do. Our solutions are used across food, beverage, dairy, biopharma, and other process industries to improve product quality, increase efficiency, reduce waste, and make better use of energy and resources.

We are looking for a Sales Engineer – Separation Technology who can combine technical understanding with commercial thinking and help customers across Poland find the right solution for their processes.

What You Will Do:

As a Sales Engineer – Separation Technology, you will take ownership of developing sales and customer relationships across Poland:

  • Grow the Business: Develop new opportunities across Food, Beverage, Dairy, and Biopharma while strengthening relationships and identifying further potential within existing accounts.
  • Turn Process Challenges into Technical Solutions: Understand how customers operate, identify where their processes can be improved, and recommend Alfa Laval separation equipment and systems that address those needs.
  • Work Where the Challenges Are: Spend time at customer sites, discussing processes with technical and operational teams, assessing requirements, and showing how proposed solutions can improve performance, efficiency, or operating costs.
  • Own the Commercial Process: Manage opportunities from the first technical discussion through solution development, proposal, negotiation, and closing. Build technical and commercial offers that are clear, relevant, and backed by a solid business case.
  • Bring the Right Expertise Together: Work closely with application engineers, product managers, and service team to develop solutions that consider not only the equipment itself, but also its integration, operation, and long-term performance.
  • Represent Alfa Laval in the Market: Build relationships within the industry and present our separation technologies at trade shows, technical seminars, customer meetings, and industry events.

Who You Are:

You are comfortable moving between technical discussions and commercial conversations. You are curious enough to understand a customer's process in detail and commercially minded enough to turn that understanding into a solution that makes sense for both the customer and the business.

You bring:

  • Technical Background: A degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Biotechnology, Food Technology Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent relevant industry experience.
  • Industry Experience: At least 2 years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, business development, or process engineering, ideally within Food, Dairy, Biopharma, or other process industries.
  • Understanding of Process Equipment: Experience with industrial process equipment is highly valued. Knowledge of separation technologies such as centrifuges, decanters, or filtration systems would be a strong advantage.
  • Comfort Working in the Field: This is a customer-facing role with regular travel across Poland, typically 3–4 days per week. You should enjoy being on-site, meeting customers, understanding their operations, and developing opportunities face-to-face.
  • Key Qualifications: A valid Category B driving licence and professional fluency in both Polish and English.

Why join Alfa Laval?

At Alfa Laval, you will work with experienced colleagues, leading technologies, and customers operating in industries that are vital to society. We believe in collaboration, continuous learning, and giving people the opportunity to grow while creating positive impact.

You will be part of a company that combines engineering expertise with a strong commitment to helping customers improve productivity, reduce emissions, and make better use of valuable resources.

Together, we are pioneering positive impact.

Apply today and help shape more efficient and sustainable process industries across Poland.

We offer:

  • A comprehensive onboarding program and extensive technical training.
  • The opportunity to become an expert in world-class separation technologies.
  • An independent role with ownership of your customer portfolio and territory.
  • A collaborative, international culture where knowledge sharing and teamwork are encouraged.
  • Continuous learning and excellent career development opportunities within a global organization.
  • Competitive salary, performance-based bonus, and an attractive benefits package.
  • A company car.

We care about diversity, inclusion and equity in our recruitment processes. We also believe behavioral traits can provide important insights into a candidate's fit to a role. To help us achieve this we apply Pymetrics assessments, and upon application you will be invited to play the assessment games.
