About the job

As an integral member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Americas Distribution Center (AMDC) during a transition to a new building and the integration the coordinate measurement machine (CMM). You will have the opportunity to support the design of process flow, documenting processes, and support continuous improvement activities, contributing to the overall success and growth of our organization.

This is a role based in Indianapolis, IN.

Responsibilities include:

  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools including 5s, SOP writing, process flow, and time studies.
  • Conduct Gemba walks to identify opportunities for improvement and report findings to project team.
  • Document best practices and develop Standard Operating Procedures to sustain improvements and standardize workflows.
  • Support the adaptation of the coordinate measurement machine (CMM) into the spare part inspection flow.
  • Participate in Factory Status Board meetings and support resolution of issues and opportunities.

What you know:

  • A junior or senior pursuing an undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a similar field.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools.
  • Knowledge of Project Management Tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience working in a Warehouse Environment.
  • Ability or willingness to operate a forklift, turret truck, or order picker
  • Can lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Able to stand for majority of the workday.
